I have a CFA registered pedigree cat. Can I still enter the contest? Yes, absolutely! There are no breed-conformation type classes in this event but plenty of fun classes to enter.
My cat is a companion/household cat who is a CCW member. I can enter, right? Yes! This is the event for you!
My pet cat is not registered with CFA or CCW? Can I still enter? Yes! And, if your cat is eligible, Sterling has a gift for you. Your cat will automatically be enrolled in CFA’s Companion Cat World (CCW) and will receive a membership card FOR FREE! Your cat will also be added to the CCW Gallery on www.cfa.org/CCW
What makes my cat eligible to be enrolled in CCW and receive the cat ID Card? Your cat must be a companion/pet cat who is spayed/neutered and not currently registered as a pedigree cat with CFA. That's all you need!
HOW TO Enter Your Photos
Do I have to register with CFA VCC before I enter the contest? No, just click on “Enter” to start uploading your photos. You'll want to register once you are entered, though -- it's the only way we can track your contact information to be able to send you any prizes you might win! Once you've entered, someone will reach out to assist you with registration.
How much does it cost to enter? Every cat must enter the Main Event, which is $15 per cat. All the celebrity-judged competition classes are $5 each. Enter 3 celebrity-judged classes and get one free!
I've entered 3 celebrity-judged classes, how do I get my free entry? Just check the box on the entry form that says "Free -- fourth entry"!
This is a fundraiser, so where do my funds go? Proceeds from the event will go to Davis’ nonprofit, TrapKing Humane Cat Solutions, and be used to educate and teach cat rescuers the basics of TNR.
What sizes should my photos or videos be? You may enter photos or video for any class! Recommended dimensions for photos are 1000px (width) x 600px (height). Videos must be no longer than 30 seconds.
Can I enter the same photo in both the MAIN EVENT and a celebrity-judged class? Well, you could but why bother? It would be better to use two different photos so you get more opportunities to win.
What payment methods do you accept? Credit card, Paypal and Venmo for entries. Credit card only for spectators choice.
How do I know what classes my cats qualify for? Every class is open for every cat! Don't worry if you accidently enter the wrong category. We have a moderator reviewing every entry and you will be contacted if there is an entry error.
VOTING, JUDGING & WINNING
Who is judging my cats? Photos are judged in 2 ways: by all spectators on a pay-for-vote basis and by our line-up of celebrity judges.
How many winners will there be? All cats are winners but the ones who receive the prizes will be the top 10 cat photos chosen by the judges in each class and the top 10 cats chosen in Spectator’s Choice voting. That makes 110 winners!
What is "Spectators Choice"? Spectators Choice Voting is the fundraising part of the competition where spectators can vote for cats by paying $1 per entry. You can vote for your own cat, but why not encourage friends and family to do the same? Use the Facebook, Twitter, or email links to share your entry with them!
What are the prizes? Each class has its own set of prizes for 1st-10th place. Additionally, cats who come in first place in each of the 11 categories will also win a spot in a larger-than-life image to be showcased in New York’s Time Square!
BECOMING A SPONSOR, VENDOR or SUPPORTER
How can my organization sign up to advertise or sponsor? You use the form on the right just as you would enter a cat. However, be sure to choose the "sponsorship" category and you will be prompted to upload your logo and cattery/company information. You will be able to submit payment as well.
